HOW IT ALL BEGAN

In 2019, Jason and Jessica Pearson set out to celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary with a twist. Instead of their usual October trip to Tennessee, they chose a random destination and landed on Evansville after spotting an irresistible little cabin on Airbnb.

What followed was a weekend full of unexpected magic: a standout antique shop, a memorable dinner at COMFORT by the Cross‑Eyed Cricket, the lively West Side Nut Club Festival, and—thanks to a rainy afternoon—a front‑porch music festival they stumbled into by chance.

Even in the drizzle, the neighborhood was alive with musicians on porches and people gathered in the streets. The joy was effortless, contagious, and unforgettable. On the drive home, the Pearsons couldn’t shake the idea: What if Noblesville had something like this?

Then came 2020. While the world slowed down, the dream didn’t. Community and music have always been at the heart of the Pearsons’ lives, and the vision of a Noblesville porch festival only grew stronger. As Jason began exploring what it would take to bring the idea to life, he was encouraged to connect with local event expert Ken Bubp.

Together, Jason and Ken navigated city meetings, connected with Logan Street residents, and curated the first lineup of local bands. By August 2021, Noblesville Front Porch Fest officially launched.

Today, the festival has become a beloved summer tradition—featuring more than 26 bands, local food trucks, and hometown breweries. What began as a rainy‑day spark in Evansville has grown into a vibrant celebration of music, neighbors, and the spirit of Noblesville.
